Recently, Art Aspen invited Anne to be part of a panel discussion with three other experts in design, art and rugs. Due to the amount of interest in our topic, we were invited to present again at the Aspen Business Luncheon. Both talks focused on personal expression through art in interiors.
Unless you’re a curator, gallery owner or designer, chances are that buying art does not come very naturally. It doesn’t have to be difficult, though. A great way to personalize your space is to surround yourself with artwork that speaks to you. Most importantly, we recommend incorporating art and other design features into your home that are meaningful to you and enhance your well-being. This quote by Thomas Jefferson summarizes our belief in the transformative power of art:
“That which we surround ourselves with
becomes the museum of the soul
and the archive of our experience.”

One of our favorite examples of enhancing interior architecture with meaningful artwork is a mountain contemporary home that we designed in East Aspen. The clients are well traveled and desired a retreat uniquely customized for their family. We worked with local artists in the Roaring Fork Valley who created paintings inspired by the client’s vacation photos.

Anne Grice Interiors specializes in designing interiors for the Colorado lifestyle and mountain landscape. The meaningful and well-curated spaces we create tell the stories of the people who live within their walls. We believe luxury is in the details and that a home is only interesting when there are personal touches scattered throughout. What do your surroundings reveal about you?
